Narrator : One day, there are
mother and her daughter that want to go to the market with their donkey.
Mother : Hey, sweetest!
It’s time to shopping monthly. Let’s go to the market! Don’t forget to bring
the donkey!
Daughter : Okay mom! I want to
buy something too.
Narrator : As they were
walking along, a country woman passed them.
Woman 1 : You fools!
What’s a donkey for but to ride upon?
Mother : is there something
wrong?
Woman 1 : of course! Why
you don’t take your daughter up of the donkey?
Daughter : yes, mom. I’m so
tired.
Narrator : So, Mother put the
girl on the donkey and they went on their way. But, soon they passed a group of
woman.
Woman 2 : See the lazy
youngster, she lets her mother walk while she ride.
Narrator : hear that, the
mother had her girl get off, and got on herself. But the other woman say
another.
Woman 3 : Shame on that lazy
lout to make her poor little daughter trudge along.
Narrator : mother doesn’t know
what to do, but at last he took her daughter up before her on the donkey. But,
there a woman stopped and asked them.
Woman 4 : Aren’t you
ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor donkey of yours-you and your
hulking daughter?
Narrator : Mother and the girl
get off and tried to think what to do.
Mother : Everything we’ve
done always be a mistake. What should we do?
Daughter : How about cut down
the pole, tied the donkey’s feet to it and the donkey to our shoulders?
Mother : Maybe we can try
your idea.
All Women : (laugh)
Narrator : When they came to a
bridge, the donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the
girl to drop her end of the pole.
Old Woman: You see, that will
teach you: Please All and You will Please None.
